Splash Island is open every day rain or shine. Once guests pay and enter the facility, no refunds will be issued. In the event of adverse weather conditions, Indoor and Outdoor Splash Island will temporarily close and remain closed for one-half hour after the adverse weather conditions pass, per Indiana code.
Weather Condition Protocol
The National lightning Safety Institute (NLSI) recommendation of 30 minutes after the last sign of thunder or lightning is the standard delay until activities may be resumed. The swimming industry has not come to a consensus about indoor pools but has an advisory to include indoor with several states adopting it as code all of our pools regardless of indoor or out until after the last sign of thunder or lightning. We prefer to err on the side of keeping our guests safe.
Since we are the best waterpark around, we let our Guests bring in coolers from home. However, we will need to take a look inside your cooler, and you must keep it in the cooler corral until you are ready to eat. Please, no glass objects and do your best to throw your trash into the nearest receptacle. You can also bring your own collapsible chairs.
Snackabana Concession Stand will have a limited menu this year which will include a variety of grab and go options. Don’t worry, guests can still bring in coolers with outside food! Please, no glass objects or alcohol is permitted in the park.
